Melinda Bertrand ‘03

Houston A&M Club Executive Director

As Executive Director of the Houston A&M Club, it’s my privilege to coordinate communications, develop corporate sponsorships, and help foster the Aggie Spirit in Houston. There are over 100,00 Aggies in the greater Houston area; it’s my goal that each will Share the Spirit by attending a networking or special event, donating to support scholarships for local students, and volunteering to enrich our community. I’d love to help YOU find the best way to get involved. I would also love to help your company reach over 100,000 Houston-area Aggies through partnering with us.

Meet our Executive Director...

Melinda graduated from Texas A&M in 2004 with a B.S. and M.S. degree in Accounting through the Professional Program. She’s a CPA who started her career at Deloitte & Touché before moving on to industry accounting positions at recycling, offshore drilling, and insurance companies.

Melinda attended her first Houston A&M Club event in 2018 and instantly felt at home!  She was quickly inspired to do more with the Club and volunteered to co-chair Traditions Lunch. In 2019 she was elected to the Board of Directors and served on the Coach’s Night committee. In early 2022 she played an instrumental role in the Coach’s Night silent auction. She went on to organize the silent auction for the Houston Aggie Open Golf Tournament in both 2022 and 2023. Most notably, Melinda served as a co-chair for the exceptional Centennial Gala in 2023. As a friend once commented, being involved with HAMC brings joy and fulfillment that “lights her up inside”.

When the Houston A&M Club Executive Director role became available, it was a natural fit for Melinda to follow her passion and do what she loves as a career!
